Dr. Julie Williams

Background and Education

Dr Julie Williams is a Cincinnati native where she grew up in a family of medical professionals. After her undergraduate degree, she attended the College of Mount St Joseph and received a Master of Nursing (MSN)- she practiced for 12 years as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Cardiology. One of her life goals had always been to become a Veterinarian and with fierce persistence and determination, she graduated as a non traditional student from The Ohio State University in May of 2022 with her DVM. She is very excited to now be working in the Veterinary medical field and to have accomplished this lifelong dream.

Professional Interests

Some of Dr. Williams’ specific interests in this field include Geriatric medicine, Palliative care and Hospice as well as pain management integrated with holistic medicine. An important core value for Dr Williams is to practice exceptional care for both pets and the people who love them. Education is fundamental and she strives to get owners involved in their pets care for better overall patient outcomes.

Outside of work

At home, Dr Williams cares for a petite black Labrador named Dottie and 6 rowdy orange cats. When not attending to her small menagerie, she loves to go hiking and being outdoors as well as reading, crocheting (mostly blankets to donate to charities), enjoying music and attending live theatre events or concerts. During a recent solo trip to Iceland, Dr Williams caught the travel bug and is already booking her next adventure! A fun fact about Dr Williams is that she worked with Rhinos at Cincinnati Zoo for an internship prior to Veterinary school and they are her favorite non domesticated animal.
